Safety at Sea

Safety at Sea International continues to build its reputation as the only magazine dedicated to safety at sea

Safety at Sea International continues to be the only magazine that is solely dedicated to keeping seafarers, ships and cargoes safe. Its remit is widereaching within the merchant shipping sphere, covering safety aspects of a variety of ships including tankers, passenger and container ships.

Safety at Sea International has evolved over the past couple of years to be of especial use to those at sea and operational staff ashore. Testimonials reveal that the magazine is used onboard during safety meetings, to prompt discussion about procedures and to question what went wrong in a particular incident. It endeavours to give practical advice wherever possible and draws from marine incidents and near miss reports.

Shipping is adopting technical approaches to navigation, training and communication, and this, coupled with ever-changing legislation and regulation, has meant that the role of the seafarer has evolved. Safety at Sea International explores these changes from a technical, operational and regulation perspective using information from industry sources and experts.

Safety at Sea International has been providing information to the maritime industry for more than 40 years. Life at sea may have changed during this time, but the magazine’s commitment to providing up-to-date and relevant safety information to its readership worldwide is still as strong as it was then.
