Solutions

Solutions is a technical magazine with a difference in that it attempts to evaluate and define the benefits that a ship operator can hope to gain from advances in technology rather than merely explaining or describing the equipment and method of operation. A broad range of subjects are covered ranging from navigational equipment on the bridge to individual components and systems within the engine room and on deck.

Each month there are features which focus on specific areas of ship operation or construction as well as regular sections covering general news, activities of classification societies, new equipment and deeper analysis of a current ‘hot topic’. There is also a section devoted to the latest new ship deliveries and a unique coverage not found in any other magazine of all new orders together with a summary of all ships on order.

Solutions regularly reports on impending legislation affecting the equipment needed on board ships. To help ship operators in their decisions, Solutions identifies the products that have been developed with such regulations in mind. Oily water separators, ballast water treatment systems and emission abatement technologies are just some that have been covered in recent issues.

In the twelve years since its first issue, Solutions has become one of the most respected magazines of its type. All of those involved with it intend to ensure that it remains so and will continue to provide valuable information to its readers.
